So does ‘1986-10-25/26 Meadowlands Arena. E. Rutherford, NJ (need low gen copy/lossless copy shared in the past)’ have a surfaced copy that is lossy, or do you just know that it circulates?

what happened during frontiers tour that made all the shows sound so terrible? every US show has the band playing songs too fast & steve perry barely even sounds good especially when he is speak-singing half the time and doesn’t use his vibrato as much as he did on the japan shows & tours previous.

I think there was an interview with Cain where he mentioned Perry's voice started to noticibly degrade in 82. You can tell towards the end of the Escape tour in 82 his voice sounds more gritty and thin. In the Japan leg of the Frontiers tour he seems to use a lot of head voice/falsetto. In the very start of US leg he doesn't sound too bad, but later sounds like he isn't even trying to sing, like his singing voice is almost gone.

i noticed that steve perry uses a very chesty mixed voice towards the end of the japan leg (march 2nd) as as apposed to his full on head voice like he did on the shows before. it’s noticeable in faithfully where on the first couple of japan shows he sings the ending B4s-C#5s with in what seems to be head voice, and then of course on march 2 he gives his best performance of faithfully he nails the notes to the tee. he seems to ditch that sorta mixed voice though when comparing to may-august shows where he just sounds terrible and can barely hold a note.
